Why the jump from 52 to 54? Because #53 was the one Nowhere Band strip so bad that I’m taking the hack as a providential gift to purge it.

Also: this is more or less how I learned how to play guitar. Although I took some lessons years after this strip ran and got a lot better.

Dan’s encounter with the upper right is vestigial from another idea I had that never really went anywhere, that the Awesome Boys would repeatedly run into another band that was just them in their 50s still playing the same venues

Aaron’s new guitar is my favorite visual joke I’ve ever drawn, funny enough to be worth what a pain in the ass it was to have to draw that thing over and over later.
